STI's 6 in. SpecSeal® Cast-In Firestop Device helps simplify concrete construction by establishing the penetration and firestop system before the concrete pour. The permanent device incorporates a built-in smoke- and water-resistant seal and is engineered for use with plastic and metallic pipe, insulated metallic pipe, cable bundles, and other compatible penetrants. SpecSeal Cast-In Firestop Devices are tested to ASTM E814 and CAN/ULC-S115 standards and use intumescent technology that begins expanding at approximately 320°F to help seal the opening during a fire. The system can also accommodate thicker concrete assemblies when used with compatible extension components.
